Parcours
Charlotte completed a physiotherapy degree at Parnasse deux Alices in Brussels before studying manual therapy at UCLouvain. The latter enabled her to refine her clinical reasoning; an important process through which the practitioner considers all possible hypotheses that could explain the problem at hand. Charlotte always seeks to deepen her understanding of the human body and so regularly attends training courses. She has extensive experience supporting women during their pregnancy and people who suffer from osteoarthritis. She also masters the trigger point technique, which is one of the most effective way to relax the muscles. More recently, she completed a stecco fascial manipulation training course, a technique which takes into account old injury and past events during treatment.
Charlotte worked for 8 years at the Riches Claire medical centre. Working as part of a team of doctors, social workers and nurses, has greatly enriched the way she practices as a physiotherapist. She is now a strong advocate of the benefits of collaborating across disciplines.
She has extensive experience treating patients with musculoskeletal problems (low back pain, tendonitis, neck pain, tension headache, etc.) and bronchiolitis, as well as supporting women during and after their pregnancy. She also took part in the work of various committees, thinking about how to best improve public health through education and prevention. She has set up and led weekly aqua aerobics, gym and back care classes.
Since January 2022, Charlotte has been working with Céline Debruyne, avenue Léon Mahillon.
Every Wednesday morning, she gives gym classes focused on back care at the Kraainem Tennis Club (see group classes).
Charlotte has danced all her life. She now also practices yoga and meditation. She is passionate about body language as an art form as well as about how the body functions. She loves making these interests interact with and inform one another.
